    Walden Accreditations

*Scholarship recipients must be new Walden students, employees of Centura Health, and start classes between September 28, 2020, and December 31, 2020. The scholarship excludes the one-credit track in the MSEd program, the Self-Designed specializations in the MSEd program, all certificate programs, and individual courses.

The scholarship is applicable to tuition only and does not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This scholarship will remain in effect for the duration of the student’s continuous enrollment at Walden. Candidates who withdraw from the program or university or change to another degree program will not remain eligible for this scholarship and will forfeit the remaining scholarship funds. In order for scholarship funding to continue until the award is depleted, recipients must meet the satisfactory academic progress criteria set forth by Walden University’s current catalog for the duration of their program. Recipients cannot have received another merit-based Walden scholarship. Applicants must meet all the admission requirements and be fully accepted into one of Walden University’s eligible programs, with the university in receipt of all the applicant’s official documentation. Applicants to nursing programs must have current and active licensure in their country of residence. Scholarship recipients cannot be employed by Laureate Education, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries. Recipients must meet all Centura Health’s eligibility requirements and ongoing requirements in order to be eligible for the scholarship. All scholars are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above, work a minimum of part time (0.5 FTE or greater) at a Centura Health system, and commit to work at Centura Health for a minimum of two years part-time following the completion of their degree or program, and sign an agreement regarding that commitment.

Thirty scholarships will be awarded as a tuition reduction as follows: up to $3,000 for up to five consecutive terms for eligible course-based programs and up to $1,100 for up to five terms for eligible competency-based programs. If a scholarship recipient’s tuition fees are less than the maximum per-term award amount or a scholarship recipient enrolls for less than the maximum number of consecutive terms, the full amount of the scholarship will not be received. This scholarship offer may not be combined with any other offer.

Scholarship funds will not be applied to any past due balance or outstanding bills or charges. The scholarships are a “non-cash” award, and in no event will the recipient receive a check or other disbursement of money pursuant to a scholarship. All tuition reductions, grants, or scholarships are subject to specific eligibility requirements. Contact a Walden University Enrollment Specialist for details.
