Employee Scholars Program

PepsiCo and Walden University have partnered to provide PepsiCo employees the opportunity to pursue an advanced education at an affordable cost.

This program will allow eligible full-time employees of PepsiCo to work toward their goals with generous assistance from this tuition-savings program.

Students participating in the Employee Scholars Program can:

  • Enroll in eight undergraduate-level courses up to $5,250 per year*
  • Enroll in six graduate-level courses up to $8,000 per year*
  • Choose from more than 85 Walden University degree programs.
  • Benefit from the support of dedicated enrollment specialists.

To apply for the program:

  • Complete the request for information form.
  • Submit proof of employment eligibility to your enrollment specialist. Submit one of the following:

- A current employee identification card 

- A letter stating the employee's eligibility, written on partner letterhead and signed by partner executive

- A current e-mail address with partner return address, i.e., name@partner.com

  • Complete an approval request form with EdAssist.

To receive your Employee Scholars Program benefit:

  • You will have 30 days after the completion of your course to:

 - Submit your grade to PepsiCo.

 - Receive reimbursement (if eligible).

 - Pay your tuition invoice to Walden University

  • Once you have reached your PepsiCo maximum reimbursement amount, other courses taken within the remainder of an academic calendar year, up to a maximum of six graduate-level courses or eight undergraduate-level courses, are free.*

Additional Employee Scholars Program benefits:

  • A tuition reduction of 10% is available to PepsiCo employees who are not enrolled in the Employee Scholars Program*
  • Immediate family members (spouses and children) of PepsiCo employees are eligible for the standard EdAssist tuition reduction of 10%, unless otherwise noted*

Walden Accreditations

*This offer is only valid for eligible full-time employees of PepsiCo. This offer is not a guarantee that all candidates eligible for the offer will be granted acceptance or admission into Walden. All prospective students will be subject to the same standard admission and registration process when applying to Walden.

The Employee Scholars Program is available to PepsiCo employees who enroll in the program by completing a form through their employer. All candidates must be enrolled in the PepsiCo Employee Scholars Program to receive this benefit. The tuition benefit cannot be used by a student in combination with any other tuition reduction benefit.

Through the Employee Scholars Program, eligible full-time employees of PepsiCo are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement from PepsiCo up to $5,250 for undergraduate courses and up to $8,000 for graduate courses per calendar year (from January 1–December 31). For Walden University students enrolled in PepsiCo’s Employee Scholars Program, the maximum tuition fees for each academic calendar year shall be $5,250 for a maximum of eight classes in undergraduate programs and $8,000 for a maximum of six classes in graduate programs. As long as a student takes fewer than the applicable maximum number of classes in an academic calendar year, any additional tuition fees and technology fees beyond the applicable maximum will be waived. An academic calendar year, as used herein, shall follow Walden’s annual academic calendar (spring, summer, fall, and winter terms). For example, an academic calendar year for a student who begins classes in summer 2018 term will end at the conclusion of the spring 2019 term.

Refer to PepsiCo’s Education Assistance Program policy for eligibility criteria. Students will be responsible for paying Walden University after 30 days from the completion of the course. In the event a student receives a grade that is not eligible for reimbursement under the Employee Scholars Program or drops a course that is not refundable, the student will be solely responsible for payment of all applicable tuition fees and such payment by student shall not count toward the annual maximum specified above. The student will refer to the EdAssist and PepsiCo reimbursement process to obtain their reimbursement funds. Students are responsible for paying for any charges incurred above and beyond this program, as well as for any courses in which they were unable to acquire reimbursement from PepsiCo. Walden University is not responsible for any non-payment by PepsiCo.
